A man has been charged with careless driving after hitting a rock cut.

It happened on Highway 69 last Thursday, shortly after 6:00 pm.  The West Parry Sound OPP says it responded to the crash south of Shawanaga Road in Shawanaga First Nation.

The OPP says the driver had fallen asleep and ran off the road. Carling Fire Department was called in to remove the man from his vehicle and Parry Sound EMS took him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 55-year-old from Seguin Township was given a ticket for careless driving.
