The Parry Sound Library and Bearly Used Books are in need of gently-used handbag donations.
Handbags for Hope is focused on filling purses with hygiene supplies for women and children, gift cards, baby supplies and gently used books.
The initiative is in support of Esprit Place Women’s Shelter.
Drop-off locations are at Parry Sound Library at 29 Mary St. and Bearly Used Books is collecting items at 16 James St.

Cayla Norrie, the library programming coordinator, says they’re focused on gathering hygiene supplies rather than clothing at this time. Gift cards from grocery stores or pharmacies are also appreciated.
The initiative is on now until December 15th.
