There will be no mail delivery in Parry Sound today.
When Canada Post store supervisor, Shelley Duncan, arrived to work at 74 James St. this morning, she had a list of items to do. Her the first order of business was keeping doors locked.
“I didn’t think they (Canada Post) were going to do it here,” she said.
Canada Post workers received their strike notice this morning though Duncan says she expects workers to return to work tomorrow but could not confirm that stores would be open tomorrow until this evening.
While street delivery and retail stores are cancelled for today, mailboxes will remain open.
