A local Parry Sound kitchen and bath designer/installer has helped a local charity in a big way.
Northern Living Kitchen & Bath Ltd. reached out to Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North, at the start of construction for the semi-detached homes on Addie Street in 2017.
At first, Nancy Fournier of Northern Living was looking at providing a partial donation of kitchen cabinets to the project. With some time to review what was needed, Fournier put her design hat on revising plans, sourcing light fixtures and also helped with the installation of the kitchens.
The two homes are nearly complete and thanks to the efforts of Northern Living and over $19,000 in materials the final look is great.
“We are so pleased to be able to donate the cabinets, countertops, knobs and pulls and the installation of both kitchens, as well as light fixtures, for both homes,” said Nancy Fournier, managing owner of Northern Living Kitchen & Bath Ltd. “We had some ideas that made the kitchens more functional, but not more expensive and were happy to provide our design and installation services.”
Habitat for Humanity heaped praise on the company for their efforts.

Two local families will be moving into their new homes next week. The Anderson and Norrie families helped in selecting the finishes for their kitchens. They are also excited to take the first steps toward homeownership.
