Reduced Hours at Humphrey Waste Transfer as Upgrades get Installed

The Humphrey Waste Transfer site is going to be closed on weekdays starting on Monday.

Seguin Township is building some significant upgrades there, which it says will help better serve the community.

“This project is a continuation of our waste strategy which will see the elimination of all small HL6 garbage bins and the installation of a transtore unit at that site”, said Peter Koppisch, Director of Public Works. “At the current time, waste is being handled twice, and that will no longer be necessary after this project has been completed, so it will allow us to provide more efficient service delivery to the public.” Koppisch added that one vehicle that collects waste is council’s objective.

The Humphrey Waste Transfer site will be closed weekdays from 7:00am-5:00pm until November 2nd. The transfer site will remain open all other times and weekends during this period. All other township waste transfer sites, including the Airport and Turtle Lake sites, will be open for those who need waste disposal during normal business hours.
