Parry Sound testing sewers with fog next week

Don’t be alarmed if you see fog spilling from the sewers in Parry Sound.

The town is conducting fog testing next week on all of its sanitary sewers, which will cause mist to spill onto the streets from manholes and sewer grates. The special fog is used to find any breaks in the sewage lines where groundwater could be leaking in. It’s not harmful to people or pets and will disappear within a few minutes.

If you have any questions or concerns about the testing you’re asked to call the town’s Public Works Department at 705-746-2101.

The testing will be conducted on the following streets:

  • MacMurray Street
  • James Street
  • Gibson Street
  • Miller Street
  • Mary Street
  • Seguin Street
