This morning’s crash on Highway 400 has taken one person’s life.
The Bracebridge OPP says emergency crews responded to the single vehicle collision just before 7:00am near Lake Joseph Road in Georgian Bay Township.
The OPP says the occupants were cut from the vehicle and one passenger, a 42-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other passengers were airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital with life-altering injuries, while the driver was treated locally for minor injuries.
The OPP says the investigation into the crash is ongoing but the highway has reopened. Police are asking any witnesses to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
