OPP Charge Two Toronto Area Men in Separate Driving Incidents

West Parry Sound OPP have arrested two Toronto area men in separate driving incidents Wednesday.

In the first case OPP charged a 26-year-old with stunt driving.

Police caught the man driving greater than 50 km over the speed limit on Highway 69 in Wallbridge Township.  

As a result, his license was suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days. He is due in court on October 2nd to face the charge.

If convicted he could face a fine of between $2,000 and $10,000 and up to six months in jail.

In the second incident, police responded to a traffic complaint around 7:00 p.m. of a vehicle being driven erratically and hitting guardrails at the Bowes Street exit from Highway 400 in Parry Sound.

Upon further investigation, police arrested a 43-year-old Toronto man with driving over the legal limit, along with other charges including having alcohol readily available and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound August 30th.
