A recent tragedy has left two children without their mother, and now a family friend is stepping up.
A woman who says she was close to Amanda McClaskin has set up a trust account at Kawartha Credit Union. It was set up to help with McClaskin’s children’s education. You can make a donation, in lieu of flowers, to account number 1637370.
McClaskin’s body was found last weekend in Muskoka Lakes Township and a man, Mark St. Amant, has been charged with her murder. She was 36-years-old and was from Britt-Byng Inlet.
