It took a little more than 12 hours, but the community raised $25,000 for the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. After 12 hours of pledges yesterday, residents, cottagers, visitors, and listeners from across the country called in and pledged a total of $20,341. In addition, Richard Bernard collected $4,365 during his nine day run across the district leaving the cause roughly $300 shot of the goal. This morning, Dr. Lori Lahti of Dentistry of the Bay heard the shortfall and donated the balance of the goal to reach $25,000.
