Impaired, stunt driving charges follow three traffic stops

The West Parry Sound OPP dealt with an assortment of driver issues over the past week. Officers pulled over three different men for various violations.

The first happened last Monday after officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Bowes Street. The OPP says a 42-year-old from Parry Sound was arrested after officers saw the vehicle cross the centre line. He’s facing impaired charges.

The second incident happened last Friday on Highway 69 in Henvey Township. A 28-year-old from Thorold was charged with stunt driving after a car was pulled over for going more than 50 km/h over the posted limit. In the third incident, a 44-year-old from Parry Sound was charged on Saturday with impaired driving after an officer saw a car squeal its tires and go through a stop sign on Gibson Street.
