The Town has released the results of the parking meter survey completed by residents. Over 500 people completed the survey with close to three-quarters of respondents saying they would like to see the meters removed from downtown and 85-percent don’t want to see meters installed on Bay Street. The full results can be found on the town’s website. Currently, the merchant in downtown Parry Sound are completing a survey which will give town staff more insight into the parking meter debate. Financial research by town staff will be completed in August and the By-Law Enforcement office will then meet with the Downtown Business Association to come up with a recommendation for council to consider.
