It’s the merchants turn to weigh in on the removal of the downtown parking meters. Town of Parry Sound staff was directed by council to look into removing all parking meters downtown. The first stage of the process was a public input survey that was put out in May with the results expected to be posted to the Town’s website soon. The merchants now have the opportunity to respond to a survey until the end of this month with results expected in the middle of August. Staff expects to review all the information with the Downtown Business Association and the By-Law Enforcement Department and come up with a recommendation that will be brought to council in the fall.
