Powassan Eagles given the green light to move to Parry Sound

The Town of Parry Sound has approved the Powassan Eagles to play out of the Bobby Orr Community Centre.  At last night’s meeting, council approved the request from the team to play here in Parry Sound for the upcoming hockey season and beyond.  The team will be given one of the main dressing rooms for storage and personal use.  The new team has proposed to the town to use ice time from 2:30-3:45 on Tuesdays through Fridays for practices and games on Saturday nights beginning at 8:00pm.  The Eagles are a part of the GMHL, the same league as the Seguin Huskies.
