Construction will affect three streets in Parry Sound starting this week

Road construction season begins in Parry Sound.  The reconstruction of Wakefield Street and Dufferin Street is scheduled to start this week and be completed by the end of September.  Both streets will remain open to residents during construction, but will be closed to through traffic.  Meanwhile, the Forest Street reconstruction project will start on July 2nd.  Forest Street will be closed to through traffic until October 31st and traffic is asked to use Great North Road.  The work on Wakefield and Dufferin Streets is funded 90 percent by government while the Forest Street Project is funded just over half by government.
