Laura has today’s Extra Mile Award nomination:
“I’d like to nominate my boss Chris McDonald and his Splash Pad partner Erin Cardy for the Extra Mile Award.
Not only are they amazing people who are always involved in our Community in various ways of fundraising and volunteering, but they single handedly finally got the Splash Pad Designation location to be granted and are always busy raising funds to build this incredible fun pad.
From homemade growth boards to the buy a brick campaign their tenacity and dedication is admirable.
Chris also owns and operates Georgian Lanes Entertainment and King Wine and McBrew and is continually raising funds for various local causes and refuses no requests for donations or charity. From Knockdown Cancer to The Ronald McDonald house, there’s also a cause that becomes near and dear to us and we work hard under his leadership to assist and fundraise ourselves.
There are many reasons, but these two are people we are all lucky to have on our side.
