It will be the last Pedalling For Parkinson’s fundraiser. This year’s goal is to raise $500,000. Pedalling for Parkinsons Co-founder Peter Istvan says, all of the money raised goes toward the Pedalling for Parkinson’s research grant administered by Parkinson Canada providing funding for Parkinson’s research.
Istvan says the event is ending for various reasons, but the legacy will live on. Istvan says he and his co-founder started Pedalling for Parkinson’s because family & close friends had been diagnosed.
So far, Pedalling for Parkinson’s has raised over $355,000. Registration closes on July 1st. The event runs from July 13th through the 15th. The ride begins at Canadore College. There are 3 routes to choose from. For more information and to get involved visit Pedalling for Parkinson’s website.
