More impaired charges, fewer speeding tickets

OPP have released results from their Canada Road Safety Week Blitz. OPP focused on the Big Four high-risk behaviors of impaired, aggressive, distracted and not wearing seatbelts.

OPP Media Services Co-ordinator for North East Region Carlo Berardi says while there were fewer speeding tickets in the region, there was an increase in impaired driving.

Berardi says most people are driving safely.

West Parry Sound OPP report the top charge remains speeding, followed by failure to yield and impaired.
