A motion to execute a funding agreement for The Stockey Centre with The Department of Canadian Heritage was carried at this evening’s council meeting. The Stockey Centre will receive 30 thousand dollars per fiscal year from the Canadian Arts Presentation Fund over the next three years. Parry Sound CAO Rob Mens says The Stockey Centre’s programming cost is approximately 100 thousand dollars per year. Mens says the funding will support the different artists coming to The Stockey Centre, it helps a lot to offset those costs.
