Parents-to-be can now learn about parenthood from a new portal on the Health Unit’s website. The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has developed an online Prenatal Program for those who are not able to attend their prenatal classes, but want to know more about having a baby. Soon-to-be parents can call the Health Unit toll-free 1-800-563-2808 to register and get a passcode then access the program online to learn at their own pace and in whatever order they choose from the comfort of their own home. This free web-based prenatal program has seven different segments including breastfeeding, relaxation exercises, what to expect as new parents, taking care of yourself and your baby, and developing a birth plan.
