The Transportation Safety Board and police are investigating a fatal plane crash in Tiny Township. Yesterday afternoon just before 2:00pm Southern Georgian Bay OPP was called to the Huronia Regional Airport because of reported plane crash. The preliminary investigation found that the 69-year old male pilot was landing his ultra-light aircraft alone at the south end of the main runway when it came into contact with the pavement. The OPP will not be releasing the identity of the pilot until a post mortem examination is conducted and next of kin notifications are complete.
