If you know a young person who has accomplished something, you can nominate them for a youth award. The Town of Parry Sound has opened up the nomination period for the 2018 Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Celebrating Youth Awards. You can nominate someone aged nine to 17 for any accomplishment in academics, volunteerism, athletics, performance, dance, art, music, advocacy, humanitarianism, leadership, enthusiasm or perseverance.
Last year, over 40 nominations were made. The top three nominees this year will be invited to the awards ceremony on June 23rd, which will be hosted by Bobby Orr. There’s no charge for tickets to the event, which is sponsored by Mastercard and the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. Parry Sound says it will be releasing more information on tickets at a later date.
