Transportation Safety Board investigating plane crash in South River

A pilot was sent to hospital after crashing his plane at the South River/Sundridge District Airport.  On Saturday morning around 11:30am, Almaguin Highlands OPP were called to the scene when the pilot hit a tree on the runway while trying to land and crashed.  The 63-year-old male pilot was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was the only one in the plane.  The Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
