Police have laid a charged in the accident this morning on Highway 69 in Archipelago Township. West Parry Sound OPP have concluded their investigation and found that the driver of the southbound pickup truck crossed the center line causing the collision with a northbound tractor trailer just after 5:30 this morning. The pickup driver, a 24-year-old man from Alberta, was extracted from the vehicle by Carling Fire Department and taken to West Parry Sound Health Centre with non life-threatening leg injuries. He has been charged with careless driving. The highway was closed for a couple of hours but has since been re-opened.
