Counterfeit cash discovered in Parry Sound
Merchants are being advised to be extra careful as phoney money was uncovered in Parry Sound.
A counterfeit $50 bill was found on a Parry Sound man while he was being arrested on Friday, February 23rd on an outstanding warrant.
West Parry Sound OPP Constable Miles Loach says the feel, look, and flip method is a good start to spotting a fake bill.
When checking out a bill, look for the details on the transparent portion and flip it to make sure the foil appears in the same place on both sides.
The 28-year-old man will face a possession of counterfeit money charge before a Parry Sound court on March 1st.
