A Kearney man faces impaired driving charges after driving through a R.I.D.E. program. Almaguin Highlands OPP set up a R.I.D.E. on Highway 518 East in the Town of Kearney last Saturday. Around 11:30pm that night, an officer saw a car approaching the checkpoint and continued through until finally stopping several feet away. The 50-year-old driver has been charged with drive while ability impaired and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood. He’ll face that charge in a Sundridge court on June 26th.
