Surfin` Seniors takes the fear out of going online

Computers and the web can be intimidating for all of us.

For some seniors, it can be outright scary.

The Parry Sound Public Library hopes to solve that problem with Surfin’ Seniors.

The program is designed to help seniors learn the basics of using computers to navigate the internet.

Programming Coordinator Cayla Norrie says there’s something for everyone no matter what level you’re at.

On Thursday, February 22 Surfin’ Seniors will highlight Online Safety with detectives from the West Parry Sound OPP.

Norrie says for many senior it’s the fear of the unknown that’s holding them back.

Surfin’ Seniors takes place on Thursdays between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm and on Friday mornings between 10:30 am and 11:30 am at the Parry Sound Public Library at 29 Mary St.

There’s no registration and refreshments are served.

Just drop in!
