Contractor approved for work on Dufferin and Wakefield Streets

Council has approved a contractor to do the work on Dufferin and Wakefield Streets with the help of the engineers of the project.  Director of Operations, Peter Brown explained to council how each tender was inspected by the engineer to make sure all the numbers worked, and there were errors on each one.

Brown says the errors were not uncommon and by no way illegal.  He says there will be a pre-construction meeting in the next week or two and work is expected to start July 1st and then gave a timeline for when the project is hoped to be finished.
