SNOWBIRDS’ DECISION TO BE MADE AT SPECIAL MEETING OF PARRY SOUND TOWN COUNCIL

Parry Sound Town Council will decide Monday whether Canada’s Snowbirds will be flying into town.

Council will hold a special meeting to determine if it will back the estimated $30,000 to $40,000 cost for a June 13th show.

Presented at last Tuesday’s regular meeting, Council directed staff to report back with recommendations for bringing the elite air force squadron to Parry Sound.

The Snowbirds became available for the performance due to a cancellation.

Council has until Tuesday to make its decision due to the acrobatic squadron’s tight schedule.

The special meeting takes place Monday, January 22 in the Council Chambers on 52 Seguin St via the Gibson St entrance, at 6:00 pm.
