The week is Safe Boating week in Parry Sound and across North America. Last night, John Mason from Canadian Power and Sail Squadron in Parry Sound gave a deputation to council saying there are five key points they are pushing this year.

Mason also wants boaters to be mindful of the effects of cold water emersion, especially here in Ontario where Georgian Bay and many lakes have just recently lost the ice from the winter.
