Clement’s charity golf tournament paying for a public mental health workshop in February

It’s no surprise there is a lack of mental health services in the area, but Tony Clement is trying to fill that gap.

The Parry Sound-Muskoka MP is sponsoring a mental health workshop next month, which he says will help bring awareness to what services are available for local residents.

Clement says the workshop features local author Yvonne Heath, who wrote the book Love Your Life to Death.

Clement says mental health is becoming more and more prominent in our society.

Clement’s charity golf tournament is paying for the workshop, as he says he has recently been identifying mental wellness as a specific place he wants to help fund.

The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

It’s happening on February 24th between 8:30 am and 11:30 am, at the Friendship Centre in Parry Sound, which is at 13 Bowes Street.
