A Parry Sound landmark has been severely damaged by fire. A fire broke out at the Ell Mar hotel on Oastler Park Drive around 8:30pm last night. West Parry Sound OPP says everyone was evacuated from the hotel and two people were taken by ambulance to the West Parry Sound Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries. All other occupants were able to find accommodations at surrounding hotels in the area. Fire fighters were still fighting the blaze at midnight. The cause has yet to be determined.
