Careless use of firearms charges laid after shotgun goes off in Port Loring

A man has been charged in Port Loring after injuries resulted from a shotgun going off.  Powassan OPP were called on Tuesday and told that just before 6:00pm three people were sitting outside of a Wilson Lake Road residence in Port Loring when they heard a loud bang.  Two of the people were hit by what would later be determined as shotgun pellets and one of them suffered minor injuries to their head.  A 56-year-old Port Loring man is charged with careless use of firearms.  OPP remind everyone to practice safe firearm handling and treat all guns as if they are loaded.
