A flood watch is in effect for residents along Moon River. The Ministry of Natural Resources is asking residents along the river to take necessary precautions to protect their property from flooding and for people to stay away from fast moving water. The flood watch has been called because up to 60mm of rain has been forecast and the river is already higher than normal for this time of year. The Parry Sound-Muskoka region is expected to varying amounts of rain throughout the weekend and the flood watch will be in effect until Tuesday.
