Big name speakers in Parry Sound to speak to local students

Over 700 students from across West Parry Sound will be treated to a very special event.  Students from 10 area schools have joined students across the country to support ‘Free The Children’s’ school building efforts through bake sales, school dances and the We Create Change campaign.  Today, area students will go to the Parry Sound High School for an educational event to celebrate their efforts headlined by motivational speaker Spencer West, who lost his legs at the age of five but still managed to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and complete a 300km trek across Alberta, all for charity.  Also part of the assembly is Canadian group Neverest and 11-year-old Hannah Alper who will explore the issue of equal access to education.
