This first blast of winter is already catching some Parry Sound drivers off guard.
West Parry Sound OPP Constable Kyle Ney says many mishaps can be avoided.
The OPP is reporting that area roads are snow covered and that snow squalls coming off the bay are making matters worse.
Constable Ney advises drivers to be mindful of icy road conditions and give themselves ample room to stop.
Constable Ney also reminds drivers that Festive R.I.D.E. will be in full force this weekend with stop checks throughout the Parry Sound Region
