FULL POWER RESTORED IN PARRY SOUND

Update 3: Lakeland Power Operations Manager Brian Elliott says a falling tree severed a feeder line between Isabella St. and Williams St. The tree has been removed and power fully restored.

Update 2: Lakeland Power says the lights should be back on by about 4:00pm today.

Update: Lakeland Power is now reporting the cause of the outage is a loss of supply from Hydro One, however no restoration time is available yet. The number of customers without power is now up to 2,115.

 

Over 1,000 customers are currently in the dark in Parry Sound. Lakeland Power is reporting over 1,000 customers are without power in the area since about 11:20 this morning. There is no word yet on restoration time or the cause of the outages.

The OPP is reminding drivers to treat an intersection where the lights are out as a four-way stop.
