CANADIAN MUSIC ROCKS THE CP HOLIDAY TRAIN

Parry Sound once again shines as a community that knows how to celebrate Christmas.

Crowds jammed the Festival Station Gallery platform on Avenue Road as the CP holiday train rolled into town Wednesday afternoon.

Moose FM was on board when the train left the huge crowd in Mactier, as it celebrated its 19th    annual cross-country run to raise food and money for local food banks.

Checks for $7000 were presented to both the Parry Sound Harvest Share and Mactier Food Bank.

This run of the Holiday Train was also tied to the Canada 150 celebration, with special markings commemorating Canada’s 150th anniversary since confederation.

Bringing music to the event were Canadian performers Colin James and Emma-Lee performing live from the stage car.
