Local Biosphere needs help to identify amazing places

Amazing Places kicks off in the Georgian Bay Biospehere Reserve.  Amazing Place is a community-based tourism project which has seen success in the Fundy Biosphere Reserve in New Brunswick and our local biosphere has secured funding to bring it here.  Brittany Mahnke (MANK-ee) with the GBBR explains how the project works.

Brittany Mahnke (MANK-ee) with GBBR says residents from the French River to Port Severn are encouraged to share their amazing place within the biosphere at www.visitamazingplaces.ca but there are some guidelines.

Once a top 10 has been identified, Mahnke says the idea is that visitors to the area will want to come visit them and learn more about some of the amazing places in the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve.  Voting on the top ten amazing places to be featured on the site is May 31st.
