Expect more heavy snowfall in Parry Sound for the rest of November

We could be seeing a lot more snow this November in the Parry Sound area.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the sudden snowy start to the week was caused by the unpredictable lake effect snow that came off Georgian Bay overnight. Coulson says because the lake is still warmer than usual, it’s going to continue to send these heavy snowstorms our way.

Coulson says while some private sector weather services are predicting a snow-filled season for Ontario, it’s still hard to tell exactly what the New Year holds. He says by mid-December they’ll have a better idea of what’s in store for January.
