Next week it’s time to clean up the town. It’s Pitch-In Canada week starting on Monday and the Town of Parry Sound hopes you’ll join in. Pitch-In Canada is a national, community-based, organization that believes that maintaining a quality environment and encouraging civic pride is everyone’s responsibility. The goal of the week is to clean up and rejuvenate local neighborhoods, green spaces, waterways and illegal dump sites, to restore habitats and to establish composting and recycling projects. The Town wants everyone to actively support the campaign including on Wednesday for a 20 minute makeover where the community is invited to go outside at 2:00pm and take the time to clean up an area of the town. Pitch-in bags are available by contacting the By-law Enforcement Department.
