The creation of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine is paying off for Health Sciences North patients in Parry Sound.
Nineteen new doctors are coming to Sudbury and eight of them are graduates of the school, with seven calling Northern Ontario home.
Six of the doctors will set up family practices while the others are specialists whom will provide a broad range of services through HSN including medical oncology, urologic oncology, colorectal surgery and ER services.
