MPP Miller gives provincial recognition to Parry Sound memorial banner project

A Remembrance Day project in Parry Sound is bringing pride to a local official.

Parry Sound Muskoka MPP Norm Miller took some time at Queen’s Park last week to recognize the efforts of Parry Sound High School Students. Working with their teacher Rick Lund and a few local organizations, the students created nearly 60 memorial banners recognizing over 100 war veterans. The banners are hung on lamp posts around the downtown area.

Miller says he’s proud to see how these students are taking on the responsibility of remembering the sacrifices of these heroic Canadians. Lund has announced they have plans to expand the banner program next year.
