Remembrance Day ceremonies are being held across Parry Sound and Almaguin

It’s time to pin on a poppy and pay your respects to our Canadian Veterans.
Remembrance Day is next Saturday and there are ceremonies being held across Muskoka in honour of the special day. Here is a list of all locations and times for these ceremonies:

Sunday November 5th

  • McKellar, 1:30pm at the McKellar Park Cenotaph followed by a luncheon at the Legion
  • Rosseau, 10:45am at the Rosseau Memorial Community Hall

Saturday November 11th

  • Parry Sound, 11am at the Market Square Park cenotaph
  • Carling, 10:45am at the Carling Cemetery followed by a reception at the Fire Hall
  • Archipelago, 11am at the Wood’s Cenotaph at the end of Healey Lake Road
  • Orville, 10:30am at the Village Green off of Highway 518
  • Dunchurch, 11 am at the Legion on Highway 124
  • Emsdale, 10:45 am at the Emsdale Community Centre cenotaph
  • Sundridge, 10:30am at the Legion
  • South River, 11am at the Legion
  • Powassan, a parade will start at the Legion at 10:30am and move to the cenotaph
  • Kearney, 11am at the Legion with refreshments to follow the ceremony
  • MacTier, 11am at the Legion
  • Magnetawan, 2pm at the Magnetawan Legion Park
  • Burk’s Falls, 10am at the Legion on Mary Street

Sunday November 12th

  • Seguin, 9:30am at the Foley Cenotaph at Seguin Pioneer United Church
