Over 60 police detachments in Ontario want you to get rid of your old and unused prescription drugs.  The OPP will be taking part in Prescription Drug Drop Off Day this Saturday, a province-wide initiative that will provide residents an opportunity to dispose of old and unused prescription medications.  Officers from the West Parry Sound detachment along with volunteers will be in the St. Andrew’s parking lot across from the town office between 10:00am and 3:00pm on Saturday to take the medications from community members.  The Almaguin Highlands OPP will be at the Sundridge/Strong/Joly Arena on Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm to take all unwanted, unused or expired prescriptions from residents.  Police agencies and health organizations are working together again this year to fight against prescription drug abuse.
