April was in fact colder and wetter than usual. Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says it’s probably not a surprise to Parry Sound residents but has the facts to back it up.

Coulson says the warmer weather is on the way but we’ll still see a majority of cooler than normal temperatures until the middle of June.

Coulson says that Parry Sound isn’t alone in that much of the province is experiencing a colder than normal spring, especially communities around the great lakes because of the slow snow and ice melt.
