A post mortem has revealed the identity of human remains found on Christian Island. Anishinabek Police Service was called on April 30th to the area of Big Sand Bay to investigate what appeared to be human remains. The remains were taken to Toronto were a post mortem was done on Monday and revealed that they belonged to a pilot from Owen Sound who has been missing for six months. Southern Georgian Bay OPP, who assisted in the investigation, say 64-year-old Wilfred Oscar Burnside disappeared the night of November 7th when he was flying his Cessna 182 from Cornwall to Owen Sound and never arrived.
