A cooking fire is responsible for the destruction of a home in Parry Sound.
Last night fire crews were called to Lawrence Avenue where the building had caught fire. Fire Chief Dave Thompson says they tracked the flare up to the kitchen where some grease had caught fire. Officials say everyone got out of the house safely when the fire broke out.
He says the estimated cost of damage is about $250,000.
