Brenda Ann Shaw (Hilts) passed peacefully, with her family by her side, into the presence of Jesus her Lord and Saviour, on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Age 59 years.
Much loved wife of Jonathan.
Cherished “Mama Bear” of Amanda, Adam, Victoria and Laura.
Treasured daughter of Angus and the late Marion Hilts.
Loved by Gene Hilts.
Big sister to Scott and his wife Denise.
Dear sister-in-law of Bob and Sharon, Janet and John Reynolds,
and Tim and Pamela.
Dear daughter-in-law of Doris and the late Jim Shaw.
Fondly remembered by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
cousins, and close friends.
We are heartbroken at the pain of losing Brenda, but are comforted knowing she is finally at peace. Brenda enjoyed her life to the fullest, raising a family, and building a community of love and grace. She was passionate about her faith, family, the Georgian Bay, and the Parry Sound arts community.
She found joy in her life as a beloved teacher to many.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street,
Parry Sound (705-746-5855), on Friday, October 20th,
from 3:00 -5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
A Service in Celebration of Brenda’s Life will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 21st, at 1:00 P.M.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Save the Mothers, or Threefold Ministries (Maternal and Child Health Program) would be appreciated.
