Motorists are being reminded to come to a safe stop when police are signaling your vehicle to pull over. On April 25th, West Parry Sound OPP tried to stop a vehicle on Joseph Street just after 11:00pm to check if the driver had been drinking. The vehicle made no attempts to pull over and finally came to a stop once the 49-year-old driver got to her destination. She was handed a charge of failing to stop for police and will face hat charge in court later this month. Drivers found guilty of this offence could be fined between $1000 and $10,000 and/or up to six months in jail.
